The Race Is Taking Shape
Over the past week, the shape of this race has changed. At the last minute, four challengers jumped in, bringing the total number of candidates to five.
While the field has grown more crowded, something else has become clear: the coalition supporting this campaign continues to expand.
Today, every major business and labor organization that participates in local endorsements has placed its name alongside mine. In fact, the list of respected organizations supporting this campaign has grown so large that I wasn’t able to fit them all into my voters’ pamphlet statement—a problem I’m grateful to have.
Since the last campaign update, several more organizations have stepped forward to offer their endorsement.
- Columbia Pacific Building Trades
- Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce
- LIUNA Local 737
- Portland Metro Chamber
- Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors
- Tualatin Valley Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 1660
These endorsements represent a broad coalition: business leaders, working families, builders, and first responders who all care deeply about the future of our region. My campaign has always been about supporting the people and institutions that make our community work, and I’m proud to stand alongside organizations that contribute so much to our shared prosperity.
This campaign isn’t about whether we move right or left. It’s about whether we move forward or backward, together.
Clackamas County residents want to protect the progress our community has made and ensure the future remains focused on results, not replay the politics of the past.
